Almost everybody loves balloons. Most people seem especially attracted to those people that can twist a balloon into an animal or some object. I’ve been doing balloon twisting for over 18 years now and still slow down to watch somebody doing it in the mall or on a street corner.

With this special attraction that balloon twisting has, it is no surprise to find it is used in children’s ministry. I never cease to be amazed at the number of kids that come out of nowhere when I start making a balloon animal for a single child that is standing in front of me. By the end of the second or third balloon, there is usually a crowd gathered. If I am doing bus ministry visitation, this is a perfect opportunity to start recruiting kids to ride the bus to church. If it is an outreach event, I can work the Gospel into the balloons that I am making. Of course, sometimes the balloons are just being made for fun!

The pages in this section will cover some of the basic twists, simple balloon animals, my special animals, and some devotions/stories that can be told with balloons. As time permits, I will be adding videos to the instructions and putting up a page about showmanship.
